NOTE: Pony is currently available in the mid-high 4 figure to a capable and confident rider working with a trainer. Pony developed some challenging behaviors under saddle after his wolf tooth fractured during extraction. He was restarted from the ground up and has shown significant improvement, but will only be available to a competent and capable rider who is fully aware of his background and is able to provide him the continued training he needs. Meet your new best friend, Pony! Pony is a 2021 14hh haflinger cross gelding. Pony quickly made his way into our hearts with his dashing good looks and his sweet and loving personality. Pony has been a quick study and has shown promise as a dressage pony, but also has a natural affinity for jumping.
Pony is a cute mover with a naturally balanced and ground covering gaits - Colleen is 5'9" and Pony's large barrel takes up her long leg nicely. He is thick, with good bone and tough feet, but still plenty of athleticism. Pony has trailered off the property for a trail ride at Christie Hoffman Farm Park and was very rideable and level headed. He bravely and obediently walked, trotted, cantered around the park without spooking at anything and even crossed water and jumped a few of the XC jumps.
I foresee Pony being the perfect match for an adult rider looking to stay a little closer to the ground or a good riding junior working with a trainer.
Pony has been very sensible, but is forward thinking and green, so he requires a capable and confident rider.
